A funeral service is scheduled for later this week.
Neal’s family said he was an active member of the local high school football team.
He was an avid outdoorsman who played hockey and football, his wife, Susan Neal, said.
His family said Neal was an outdoorsman and loved playing his favorite sport, basketball.
“He was a loving father, a grandfather, a brother and a brother’s boy, we love you Dale,” her husband, Keith Neal, wrote on Facebook.
He was an athlete, a former football player and a husband, Neal’s wife said.
